Drowned in Sound launch new website
We Have A New Website
We gave http://drownedinsound.com a much needed spit-shine last week. It looks much nicer* and it feels like it has a classiness that matches the site’s 13 year legacy. We’ve removed a lot of the distractions from the words, put recommendations to the fore, and also tried to make the place feel a little more homely/lived in for our regulars.
…And A New Mailing List
In the transition, we’ve decided to set-up a new mailing list. If you’d like to get an occasional update about records we love and new things we’re doing (there may be an app coming next year) join up for free here: http://eepurl.com/fBubk
I know it’s short notice, but we’ve teamed up with ATP and we’re having a little don’t-call-it-a-relaunch-party this Thursday at Netil House with two of our favourite noizy punk-rock bands. From LA there’s the snarlin’ Icarus Line, and from Cardiff come our tongue-in-the-eye-of-the-elite super special guests Future of the Left. Info http://facebook.com/drownedinsound/events
Oh. And. CCCLX My Label/Artist Management…
In the rare moments when I’m not running DiS, I’m now also working with Ed Harcourt. In February my CCCLX label released his sixth studio album Back Into the Woods to a helluva lot of critical applause (pick up a copy or give it a stream if you’re curious). We also brewed a beer which has been selling 1000s of bottles. There’s a new Ed Harcourt mini-album entitled In My Time of Dust coming out in January, contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org or Barbara Charone or Fred at MBC for promos if you’re national press, email@example.com for all online requests. There’s a taster track of his new somewhat darker sound up at http://edharcourt.com
Thank you for your time. / Sorry if this email wasn’t of any interest whatsoever [delete as applicable]
I probably won’t use this email list ever again, so don’t worry about unsubscribing.
Bye for now,
