About Ricky Ricky Boom-Boom
Ricky Boom-Boom is a folk-blues guitarist and singer and long-standing performer in the Cambridge area. His previous, rather different, bands have had airtime on John Peel’s Radio 1 show and BBC 6Music and made several appearances at the Cambridge Folk Festival. He will be familiar to regular readers of and attenders at R*E*P*E*A*T events.
In his spare time, Ricky is also a writer for both legendary Cambridge-based music ‘zine REPEAT and the great feminist rock e-zine Loud Women.
His new EP ‘A Rum Old Do’ is a collaboration with slide-guitar wizard Tom Colborn and is available to download through Bandcamp now. This offering is very different from Ricky’s other output, but just as listenable and very touching. And all the monies from download sales not snaffled by Bandcamp will go to the National Autistic Society.
